Information for egg and poultry producers
Ivy heads a committee of egg and poultry producers, elected each year by the members at the Association's AGM. The committee meets bi-monthly where they present issues and concerns for discussion. A transcript of the meeting is included in a bi-monthly newsletter. Since its incorporation in 1991, the association worked towards establishing standards for free range eggs and the poultry meat production. The association represents industry during discussions between Government, outside agencies, public forums and the media. It maintains an open liaison with relevant animal welfare groups including RSPCA, Animal Liberation and Animals Australia together with other associated bodies. We publicly promote the system of farm audits that ensures the products bearing the Free Range Logo are genuine free range products. These products include Eggs, Poultry Meat, Ducks, Turkeys and Pullet Rearing. For further information contact us. We will be happy to assist you. The association has developed an information kit which consists of the following:
The cost of the kit is $55.00 but our friendly assistance and goodwill is free.
Animal Liberation regards accredited Free Range egg production systems as the most humane of all commercial egg production systems
